If you love books, you can add to your income – by finding what other people want & selling it to them

Thanks to the Internet, there is a world-wide "flea market" that just about anyone with a credit card & a computer can buy from. It's open 24 hours a day. It's called Amazon.com

Setting up a purchase account on Amazon.com is simple – chances are, you already have one. Setting up a merchant account in the Amazon Marketplace takes only a few minutes longer. But, unless you know something about books, the book business, & the ins & outs of online selling, you can quickly find yourself the proud owner of a business that takes hours of your time without paying its own way.

Other People's Treasures fills that knowledge gap. Tony Ravenscroft walks you through what you'll need to set up your Marketplace account – and that's only the beginning. His book shows you what you will need in order to run an efficient & profitable business, from acquiring the right books to presenting them in the most attractive light. You'll get valuable advice in everything you need, from packing & shipping your orders to assembling a professional-looking "public face" on the Amazon site. Most of the advice applies directly to CDs & other merchandise, & the book also provides an overview of some of the powerful features & options available.

Plus, Other People's Treasures gives you something that no other source can provide – a 25-page guide to describing each item completely & accurately. A solid, thorough description allows a seller to ask for top dollar – & get it.

If you want to join the thousands of people already selling on-line – & want to be one of the rare ones who can turn a steady profit over the long term – you need this book.

With Other People's Treasures, you will

  • sell more books by understanding Amazon customers' motivations
  • offer better merchandise than many other merchants
  • set higher prices yet be competitive
  • streamline order fulfillment & please your customers

About the Author

Anthony Ravenscroft is the former owner & proprietor of Raven's Wing, a tiny New Age bookstore in south Minneapolis.

"I've been a voracious reader since I was 5, & I still average a book a week. I'm not tight with a dollar, & will gladly buy a new item, but I have a good eye for a bargain. And I don't read most books more than once. Rather than keep all these great books to myself, I needed a way to re-sell them to others who'd enjoy them as much as I did. Discovering the Marketplace was a near-perfect solution – and if I can do it, anyone can! If you love books, join up."

The author is working on a novel, as well as two more "how to" books that'll allow him to share a few of his other business ideas.
